Be friendly but be wary!
In general people want to be friendly and not appear rude when someone says hello or asks them a question. But be careful. Many people who appear to "just be having a friendly conversation" with you are actually trying to probe you for information that will help them get your password and into your accounts. And because people in general want to be friendly they never recognize that this is happening until much later. It can be easy to "get hooked" without even realizing you are on the line. How easy?
